Re: Think you could do it? A speed lap on the Isle of Man TT?
i'd love to ride it, but it would be a pretty sedate ride in my case, just take in the scenery and to say i've ridden the course.

Re: LA, behind bars
Grats on the bike, and good choice waiting for the MSF course. You'll learn a lot of really good habits to get into and will definitely start off on the right foot. On a personal note, I'm really looking forward to some feedback on the Bolt. It's definitely caught my eye and with my new disposable i...

Back again after a few years
Figured I'd re-introduce myself since it's been a few years since I was active on the forums. I'm now 37 and live in Kansas, currently don't own a bike but my brother-in-law lives with me and he's got an older Ninja 500 that we use for commuting the 30 miles each way to work when weather permits. Be...

Ducati Hypermotard review?
Just seeing if anyone has ridden one and would be willing to post a review of it. I've been searching the interwebs for a used Hypermotard (prefer 2007-2012) since I'm looking to buy a bike in the near(ish) future. Nearest Ducati dealer is a couple of hours away and that seems like a long drive just...

Re: Discuss: What was your first experience on a motorcycle or S
My first experience was riding behind my dad on an old Kawasaki cruiser -- I think it was a 250 -- that my oldest brother had bought. At the time, my brother didn't have a motorcycle endorsement on his license so my dad would take it out from time to time and run it a bit. We rode out to visit some ...

i vote not cool. i'm not a big fan of the exhaust under the engine, nor a big fan of the overly angular design a lot of not only motorcycle but automotive manufacturers have adopted lately -- looks too insectoid to my eyes.

to me, nothing captures the essence of motorcycle sound like a thumper. i don't know why that sounds "right" to me, it just does.

I voted awesome. Love the looks, love the Victory powertrain, love the price point. Definitely a home run in my book. This bike will be on my short list of prospective purchases when I get my hip replaced and can ride again.

Re: This Week: 2012 Victory Hammer 8-Ball - VOTE NOW!
Having owned the 2010 model and the only thing I would have changed was putting the 6-speed gearbox in it for highway riding, this is a no-brainer full-blown awesome bike. They've changed it to a blacked-out exhaust from the factory and given it the newer style "bullet" headlamp. If I had the money,...

Re: 2012 Harley-Davidson FLD Dyna Switchback - VOTE: In Prog
Torn between Cool and Uncool, decided to go with Cool. I like it, but it's too much like a dressed-down Road King to anything truly "new." At $1500 cheaper than a Road King, though, I am very happy that HD has made a move to lower the price of touring-capable bikes. Reminds me a LOT of the 8-Ball se...

Re: New Bike
The tech also mentioned that it's running a little rough and sounds like it needs a valve service, so hopefully my Clymer arrives soon so I can start practicing that 6k valve adjustment. Will let you all know how it goes with racking up the miles. The good news is, the valve adjustment is very easy...

Yesterday we put a deposit on a 36' 5th Wheel Toy Hauler. Nothing too special, it's a fairly old used one, but very exciting for me because I've been wanting one for a few years now. Pick it up on Friday and we're heading straight to the Grand Canyon to try it out and make sure we like it.

Re: New Bike
Turned out to be a bad earth on the headlight, burned out bulbs on the instrument panel. Rear brakes and rotor need replacing, front tire needs replacing before too much longer. Will order the brake pads and rotor today and get them done as soon as they come in, the front tire I'll replace after our...

Awesome. Just plain, flat-out, unmistakably, pure, awesome. Everything from the swingarm and outer-mounted rear shocks to the minimalist wind deflector and smooth, sexy lines of the tank--undeniable. That is motorcycle. Not "a" motorcycle, just motorcycle. Even the radiator fades away to blend in wi...
