Re: First time at "highway speeds"

Noice ! How did that wind feel ;-) Take it slow and easy. Safety is very very very important ! I grew up riding motorcycles for around 15 years in India (smaller ones - 250cc or so), but I still call myself a noobie here in US. Riding a 800cc cruiser at 75 mph is very different from riding a 250cc b...

Re: ezpass and Helmet !

Aiight. 2 questions. 1. Ezpass -- What do u guys use for that ? Some specific mount, just throw it in backpack and it will detect ... ??? If u leave it "visible" on the bike, wouldn't it get stolen ... ??? 2. Helmet mount - I was thinking of just getting like a wire lock, and lock the helmet with p...

Workhorse as opposed to pleasure ride ..

Just curious here ... How many of you guys use your motorcycle as a workhorse -- commute, errands, grocery, home-depot trips (unless ofcourse if you getting 50 lbs of cement !!!), ride in rain or shine ... as opposed to pleasant weekend rides .. ? If you do, do you still manage to keep your motorcyc...

Yeah, the bicyclists in NYC here have no regard for safety when riding in the streets with us. They would even run red lights causing me or other cars to swerve or brake hard. Yet they have the nerve to complain that cyclists get no respect. They give all two wheelers bad names. I know. That sucks ...

Hmmm ... I am going to the motorcycle store. Will checkout some gloves there.. See how they compare to the ones I have right now ... Talk about letting your bike down ... Took it out for a spin as soon as I got the title ... Just run some errands around the town. Park it on a hilly street. Put the b...

Gloves

I have These gloves that I use for bicycling. I am planning to use the same for motorcycle .. I have very cold hands and feet  Thoughts ? Would these work, or I would need motorcycle specific gloves ? EDIT - http://www.altrec.com/marmo...

The engine, tranny and frame were not affected by the crash. The bike was fixed by replacing the damaged parts. It even had a new Mustang seat on it. That is what I was thinking too ... Chances of engine and tranny damage would probably be slim .. But then I guess I just have to get my head straigh...

Thanks

So other than insurance thing, should I be worrying about "reliability" of the bike ? ... My major concern is I don't want to end up with something that I have to keep repairing all the time.

Suzuki m50 Boulevard - Salvage Title

Hi all, I am a newbie(-ish) rider ! I say (ish) because I grew up riding mopeds and motorcycles for 15 years. Didn't ride for around 10 years or so. And now have decided to start riding again. The ones I used to ride before were smaller engine vehicles. 250cc max. Now I think I want to get into crui...
