One step at a time

Its been a little over a month since my accident. I went to the doctor yesterday. He removed the pins he put in my toes there was 4 of them I was surprised at how long they were about 4 inches long each. My toes have been sore but they have been hurting worse since he removed the pins. He told me to...

Re: Building a Shed for me and my Lady need advice

About 7 years ago I was shopping for a shed to make more room in my garage. I wanted the most storage space I could get for the best price. I also wanted something that would last for years and be very secure. After shopping everywhere in town and getting sticker shock over and over I was seeing the...

Re: An airbag instead of a helmet?

I am curious as to how it would work when someone would be tumbling down the roadway after a crash from say 60MPH. Yeah me too. In my recent accident I made contact with three different things in about maybe 5 or 6 seconds. First I bounced off the car that cut over in my lane in front of me. I don'...

Re: Can motorcycle riding strengthen old bones?

To answer your question, only in men. I was told when I broke my leg that the bones knit together thicker than original. I refuse to test this any more though :? I hope this is true I should have strong toes and a strong left collar bone soon. I got a broken jaw bone eight years ago it was re...

You all be careful out there

I was taken out Monday by an old lady in a cage who probably shouldn't be driven anymore. I was in the right lane when she turned off a side street on the right going the same direction as me. At first she crossed my lane and took the left lane going slow that was fine but when I started to pass her...

Flat tire

I got a flat rear tire on my Suzuki so I need to replace the inner tube. I am too poor (cheap) to pay a shop. I have to do it myself. I usually do everything else myself. I just never changed one with a drive shaft before. Do I have to drain the shaft oil and what type oil do I need to replace it? I...

Yeah sometimes on my vs800 if I try to go from neutral to first while sitting still I have to let out on the clutch lever a little bit before it will go into gear

Re: THE New Guy

Conrads mark on your good fortune. I envy you. There was a college here that raffled off a Heritage last year. I was really hoping I would win but didn't. As far as the land speed record goes I plan on setting that as soon as I get that new generation Vmax. (Some day) how dose the bike feel to you? ...

Re: Howdy and a few questions

Excellent choice for a first bike it is better to start out on a smaller bike to get the feel of riding and gain some experience. You can always move up to that Harley in a year or two

I just noticed my status has been raised from rookie to regular. Good to be moving up in the world. What a week first I get a letter saying I could be a millionaire. Than I get raised to a regular.

Re: Can-am

Cool good to hear from a pro thanks. Did you ride it before or after going to the beer store? I think if I was going to invest in one I would rent one for a few days first to make sure I liked it. But after what you said I think I would stick with two wheels and get that new Vmax first. But I have t...

Can-am

I was wondering if anybody on here has owned or ever ridden one of those Can-am Spyders. You know that three wheeled cycle with two front wheels and one rear. The last time I was at Panama City Beach some of the bike rental shops have them but they wanted like $300 to rent one. I wanted to try one o...

Re: 2010 Yamaha V-Max VMX17 posted up.

I really enjoyed my 86 vmax over the years it was a lot of fun knowing that I can blow away whatever was sitting beside me at the red light and I would shake my head and laugh anytime I had a cage that thought he could take me. Some times I would play with them and let them think they could keep up ...

Re: What's your good side

Good question something I never really thought of. I didn't think I had a preference but now that I thought about it a few minutes I think right side usually I can take right turns a little faster because I dont have to slow as much to wait on oncoming traffic. Os usually right turns are more fun.
