... one piece leather riding suit! They do those for women, fills the demands list above and if fit - should look smoking. I will let you know how it goes and promise pictures if I end up with a one-piece leathers. :) Wish me luck. In accordance with TMW Regulations, you need to send the pics to th...

Re: LADIES - Women's Pants?

I asked the "pants" question a while ago in the newbie section (http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/BBS/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=41026) and am still looking for this magic perfect fit, lol! I tried a bunch by now just to come to conclusion that I will have to compromise at some point. I found almost perfect p...

Re: Break in period on the new bike

Follow it. There's a few reasons to follow the break-in period on a new bike. First and foremost is ring/crosshatch mating. Don't baby it but keep it under the revs specified by the manufacturer. Open it up a little until you get to the speeds you're breaking it in at. Don't stay at a steady speed ...

Re: Another newbie :)

Welcome, it looks like you are off to a good start. The RSV4R is an awesome bike and gives you something to look forward to later, besides getting hurt (or worse), a lot of people that start out on something too powerful end up scaring them selfs so bad they don't want to ride anymore, the salesper...

Riding pants

I am almost done buying my riding gear and the only item I am indecisive is the riding pants. A bit of a background - I am a new rider, am going to take almost a month time combined worth of classes and when I am confident in my skills enough, I will be commuting to work over a freeway in the summer...

Graphics/vinyl wraps for ninja 250r

My new ninja 250r comes in black. I would like to add some graphics or vinyl wrap on it to make it more visible on the road. (And yes, there is a cool factor in it for me too, lol! 8)) I don't want anything permanent like body paint since I am planning to sell it in a year or two to move up to the h...

Break in period on the new bike

I am getting a new bike this spring. I have been reading the manf user manual and they suggest to keep it under 35-40mph for the first 500 km. I wonder if anybody actually goes through the break in period on their new bike? What are the benefits? How to do this correctly? Any tips/advice/suggestions...

Re: Another newbie :)

Hey, Mike, thanks! Yep, I am she. :blushing: I will take riding courses in two local schools this spring - classes and 101 lessons - and will try to pass my road test after that. My protective gear collection is coming together rather nicely. I lucked out yesterday with the helmet. Still have this i...

Another newbie :)

Hi, I am new to the forum and to the motorcycling. I have zero riding experience and just decided one day (a month and a half ago - to be precise) that I want to ride a sport bike to work this summer. I will be commuting 90% over the freeway about 40 miles round trip. But first, I need to learn how ...
