Re: My 1st month of riding.

Hey, welcome. My experience has been that this is a great place to learn soooo much! Hope you enjoy it here. With regard to the windshield, I just put one on my CB650C and I am loving it. It took some adjusting to get the air to flow over it right, but MAN! what a difference! If yours doesn't adjust...

Re: Helmet type

As a rider who is a 'noob' I would not have even thought about anything less than a full face helmet. The first time I went down in a gravel parking lot (about 2 months after I started riding) I was very glad my full face was protected. I was only going about 15 km/h and I landed on my side and the ...

Re: New, inexperienced rider starting on an old Honda 650?

I am a noob on my first bike - 1980 CB650c - and there are times when the power overwhelms me a little. I have friends who are more experienced than I who said that I guy my size (6'1'' and 280 at the time) would feel like I was underpowered with anything small. They were suggesting 450-650cc's. I f...

Re: So you have a Honda? Cool, what is it?

I just bought a NEW" 1999 Honda CB750 NightHawk (been riding a CB650) - I say new 'cause it has only 606 miles on the clock - its a very "basic" bike - thats why my post about aftermarket parts. I did like the 650 - which was my first bike 3 years ago - when the opportunity came up t...

Re: So you have a Honda? Cool, what is it?

I have only been riding since I passed my safety course in August of 2010. For my first bike I found a 1980 CB650c. It didn't run well and isn't 'pretty', but after I got a professional shop give it a good go over, I have put about 1200km since then and I am lovin' it. I would love to find a windshi...

Re: Just wondering about average age and careers of you ride

I am 43, only riding less than a year and I am an ordained minister in the United Church of Canada (a very liberal Christian church).

I don't want to learn how to do wheelies!

LOL!
