Re: seriously, motorcyle vs. scooter - non-tech differences
It's all history. Perceptions may change, but the legal difference due to CC's make a lot of scooters legal to pick up and ride with zero training or licensing, which to many means they "must be safe!" Back in the day scooters were more associated with commuting and not a weekend of high p...

Re: I hate other motorcycle riders
This thread is ridiculous. First off, anyone who uses an el Camino as evidence that cars and trucks are similar is smoking something funny. They obviously are a weekend warrior that has never put anything more than a few bags of garbage in their truck. Umm considering I learned to drive on a 5 sp m...

Re: What do you do in your regular life?
But now, I am no longer unemployed... I am a Customer Solutions Specialist for a chemical distribution company. Which is fancy language for I work in a call center* (albeit a highly sophisticated, ultra-modern, and development focused one). The pay is good , the perks are awesome , and the long-ter...

Re: Your Closest Call
Beginners should never be doing anything with rear brake only. It is an easy habit to form, and a bad one. I know from experience. Once you have formed your good habits, then you can/should start messing around with maximizing your performance and skills. But not until then! My closest call was whe...

Re: I hate other motorcycle riders
I have been riding motorcycles for over 30 years, I was owning and riding all types of motorcycles before they became popular and I hate you new riders, you guys think you're an expert, you think you're cool, you think you have skills riding one that nobody else has, you dress up looking like clown...

Re: Buying gear today
I don't want to get into a lengthy debate about this since it defeats the purpose of the thread but just putting material between yourself and the pavement is not going to help. I could strap cinder blocks to my head that would put much greater distance between my head and the pavement but would pr...
