Help! Honda CL70 Problems.

So I've adjusted the valves, the ignition timing and set the carburetor to the specifications in my Clymer manual. The spark plug works perfectly and it has a new battery and ignition coil. All this and it will not run. I got it to start for a few seconds but couldn't get it to start again ...

Ok so the valve clearance was a bit too small, that has been fixed. However, like most inexperienced mechanics, I make mistakes. I overtightened one of the valve covers (or tappet cap I believe it's called). Do you know of any site I can buy one from? Ebay only has one person selling as a "buy it ...

Ok, thanks! And do I still need to adjust the valves even if I have never touched them and know that the previous owner hasn't either?
