Re: Help please, Ladies training

I have noticed my fellow women have similar responses both to motorycles and power tools. We seem to have a keener understanding of what it means to get hurt. Big, vibrating, noisy machines with the capacity to move fast are scary. So, um, we often hang back a little more until we know more about h...

Re: Jewellery on Bikes?

I wear men's gloves because the women's gloves tend to be made for small people. If you have longer fingers and a bit wider hands the men's gloves will be fine. Go to your local dealer and try some on.[/quote] I do have longer fingers thats for sure~ Longer or the same as some of the men I know. Som...

Re: Ladies - how do you feel today?

Lucky girl! I am a bit tired today, too much training and not enough sleep... I am currently in training for the BG Energy Challenge - a 3 day sporting event with tons of running, bike riding, orienteering, strategy, etc. It's going to be a super athletic month and to be honest I'm really looking f...

Somehow they just don't think a blond girl is capable of handling a motorcycle.
Well I think we just have to prove them wrong ladies!

:welcome: Let's do it! Yeah!

Re: Girl, you got da power!

LOL. No doubt that'll be me if I ever get a bike. I look young (people usually think I'm in high school) and I'm small. I had a guy a few weeks ago warn me that the piano bench I wanted to lift was "heavy." (A PIANO BENCH, FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE. It wasn't even heavy for a piano bench). I tucked it unde...

OK, doilies are finished, I will put my pinny on and make cheesecake. Just don't tell Sunshine, coz she is mean to me and wants me to leave. I will let you know when it's ready. Did I tell you I have to sell my project bike. I need comfort food. Yummmm... Comfort food~! I love Greens :) I wasn't pa...

Re: Jewellery on Bikes?

Good question! I wondered the same thing. I don't have much experience ( Unless you count all the dreams I have of riding in which case I have lots of miles under my belt haha  ) So far I have not had any pain from my ring I never take off, though my gloves don't quite fit right a little l...

I forgot to add when I am Reading/Learning (not the riding part) with the other people and instructor in the class I get super nervous :? As soon as I am back on the bike again though I am feeling great again. Instructors/People who don't seem very ummm... agreeable  = Scary. Me by myself on b...

Re: Ladies: What was your greatest challenge - learning to r

Everything is going pretty great thanks! Oh! Other than this big owwww sunburn I got yesterday from riding around for hours in the super hot sun ( the day I didn't wear my suncreen and I am so light my face lightly burns just driving in my car sometimes if it's long distance ha!) Re: Ladies: What was your greatest challenge - learning to r

Thank you :) My friend gave me a tip to help... Ok I could be better at describing things, but here goes.. He said to rest/hold my fingers at the top part of the front brake ( Not wrapped around as if I were going to stop, just resting on the top so I won't squeeze on accident ) and that combined wi...

Re: Ladies: What was your greatest challenge - learning to r

Maybe after a few months I can post something more, but so far my trouble has been with holding the throttle steady. My wrist just wants to move I guess, and the slightest movement I'm losing gas power. I'm not sure why it always goes that way! I am still learning though and haven't been on the stre...
