I know, but they were, of course, going in the right direction when used for races. This is my commuter, and my commute is pretty mellow as the highest speed limit is 30mph. So, not much load there.Wrider wrote:Still, they're designed to take loads in a certain direction. That said, that's a wow.

Holy Crap!! That coud have ended badly!
I was getting ready to go for a quick fun ride around town (very low traffic due to most people being stuck with their nose on the TV for some sport event). As I usually am pretty careful about checking the bike on a (fairly) regular basis, I checked the tire pressure before taking off. While inflat...

New toy in my garage: 2006 ZX6R (Track use only)
Just bought a used 2006 Kawasaki ZX6R setup for track use. Only got a chance to take it around a block a couple of times, but everything seems to work ok. We'll see when I take it to the track in two weeks. Just can't wait. Apparently, the bike was stored for a couple of years (the owner started hav...

Re: Coolant in the oil on my 2007 Honda 919?
My first thought was cracked head or blown head gasket...but might be condensation build up in the crank case (if the bike has gone through a bunch of warm up & cool down cycles without being ran, condensation can build up inside the crank case through the breathers)...change the oil and check ...
