Reflections of a newbee wanabee
I remember when I discovered this site I was elated, the support and advice that I got after my first crash kept me persevering to continue with my MSF course. Although I had some trepidation after the crash of getting back in the saddle of my 600VLX I completed my MSF course sometime in September o...

Dropped my bike.......Lot;s of questions
I wrote a little while ago and told the now funny story of how I dropped my '06 Honda Shadow 600 VLX . I got the bike back and checked it to insure that the repairs that I requested were completed. I didn't notice until recently that when I dropped the bike the angle of the mirror arm that is attach...

Can a bike lift be used to store a bike instead of stands?
I'd like to know if a bike lift can be used not only to lift a bike, but to keep it in the air without jack stands during a bikes time in storage. Or do I use a lift to jack up the bike and slip jack stands underneath the bike for storage?

If storing a bike in a garage for the winter?
I gotta bike that I haven't really ridden, my MSF BRC class is 9/14/11 and I plan on getting in a little practice in before the season is totally over after I pass the BRC. What I'm concerned about is storing the bike in the garage for the winter. Do I have to change the oil? Lift the bike? Slow cha...

Re: Practice before MSF course
Thanks everyone for taking the time and effort to respond to my query and I've decided to take my time and complete the MSf course. I got the bike that I want and since I waited this long what's a little longer? Though admittedly I DO actually want to ride it instead of just sitting on it. James, th...

Re: What did you do today...
Drove my cage downtown and happened to park across the street from a group of bikes that were being watched by an attendant at the Sheraton, 16th and Race Sts. I thought to myself "Man I can't wait to learn to ride " Handled my business climbed back into the cage and went to work. Although...

Re: Poll: New riders, do you consider weight of a motorcycle
I am so glad I stumbled onto this site, man, the things that new riders may not take into account and should consider can be found right here. I considered the type of bike I wanted before purchase, I considered engine size, reliability, type of helmet, and other related equipment. However, bike wei...

Practice before MSF course
Hello everyone, I cannot call myself a rider as of yet because I have not completed the riding portion of the MSF course and my first ride up the incline out of my driveway on my 2006 Honda Shadow 600 VLX ended in my neighbors bushes resulting in a dropped bike, (which I need to learn to pick up by ...
