I don't get the opportunity to browse this forum all that often. So please forgive my ignorance. All this time I've been riding when I feel like it. Wearing what I want to wear. I didn't know all the other motorcyclists were busy scritinizing me. I thought they were just doing what they feel like ...

To be honest, and this is just MY opinion. I doubt I'd let my 15 year old get a bike. I'd want them to get some road experience in a car first... complete drivers ed, show they were responsible in a cage, then take the MSF and learn how to ride.

Not just your opinion, mine too. I was nervous ...

Re: Riding to work and clothing

1) Do you ride to work? Why or why not?

2) What do you ride?

3) What do you typically wear when riding and why? Does this have any impact on whether or not you ride to work?

1) Yes, nearly every day. I just plain enjoy it. It's quicker. It's way cheaper, especially now. Rain is rarely a ...

Hope ya don't mind I bring this older post back to the top, but I'm definately in the market for new tires. I'm looking for dual-sport tires that really grip the pavement in corners, tear up any trail I care to run, and long lasting! Ok, I'm dreaming. But really, anyone have an opinion on good all ...

Call'm highways, biways, parkways, streets, boulevards, or whatever. While I love to ride the bike anywhere, I can't be limited to the blacktop. It would have to be a BMW GS.

Holy smokes! I get to about 175 miles on my Dakar and the light comes on. Never pushed it to see how far it would go before I was actually empty.

First off Joe , welcome to TMW Forums . My question sir , is if you just got this nice scoot , what is it doing on a trailer? Just an old guys curiosity .
Regards, Wizzard

In my case, I'm usually headed to the desert for several days. And I'm camping with a bunch of Jeepers. So both the Jeep and ...

I'm loading on a car hauler style of trailer, I doubt that's the kind of trailer you're dealing with. I have two ramps and use one to walk alongside the bike. I run the engine and walk the bike up the ramps. I load by myself. I'd recommend you find a way to add a ramp alongside the bike. Unless you ...

My wife must understand this MBS thing. She suggested I sell the Dakar, buy a bike that makes me happy on the street, and buy another bike to make me happy in the dirt.

A little time has passed since I first started this thread and I've settled down on the new bike thing. I'm actually quite happy ...
