Re: Right Brake Lever Too Tight After Drop

Sorry I didn't get a chance to post the pic, I decided to just take the bike to a local repair shop and they had a great mechanic that got everything fixed up for $25!
The handle was a little bent, and the alignment issue he fixed solved most of it as well.

Thanks for your reply!

Re: Right Brake Lever Too Tight After Drop

Thanks for the quick reply!

Is the bike still safe to ride with the brake in that condition? I can still brake fine, I would just like the extra play in the brake like I'm used to feeling.

Going to take pictures now, I'll post soon.

Re: Can’t shift while idling

This happens to me quite often as I drive in NYC traffic. I was puzzled at first, but then I got a few tips from other motorcycle riders. 1. When coming to a stop light, (assuming you downshifted in a rush) try to shift all the way down to first and then ride in first for a little while before stopp...

Re: '82 Seca dies when the clutch is let out

No if that was the problem it'd die when you put it into gear. Not all bikes work that way though. For example, on my KLX the switch is designed so that the engine stops if the clutch is engaged with the transmission in gear when the side stand is left down. And I know for a fact that the bike will...

Right Brake Lever Too Tight After Drop

Hi forum, I recently dropped my bike, well more like I laid it down, I was going <10mph. The cause was locking up the rear brake by stepping on it too quickly and not using enough front brake. Along with that, the handlebars got twisted a bit to the right, but I'm going to loosen some bolts and see ...

Re: New Biker - Close Call

Thanks for the quick replies! The throttle would react, but only when I pulled it almost all Of the way. It's tough to explain. If I had hit the kill switch, wouldn't I of had to hit it again to continue riding? Would that cause rear wheel Locking as mentioned? The only thing I can come up with is m...

New Biker - Close Call

Hey all, finally jumped through all the hoops to get myself licensed and on a motorcycle! I'm a total novice, with 7 hours of personal training and a few hours of street riding, I'm very new to the experience. I'm handling it well so far, taking it very slow and being very cautious and punctual abo...
