Obviously awesome. The RR is a celebration of everything that motorcycles are technically capable of.

Re: This Week: 2017 BMW K1600B - VOTE NOW

Eh, uncool instead of fail only because of the outstanding 6 cylinder K4x engine. Objectively it will be an outstanding motorcycle. With the K1600GT/L there's almost zero felt vibration through the chassis, along with immense power. There aren't too many GT bikes out there that can cruise north of 1...

Re: This Week: 2016 Suzuki Hayabusa - VOTE NOW

Despite what some scooter fans in this thread might have you believe, the Busa is actually fairly forgiving in the context of open class sportbikes. Definitely more so than my much beloved BMW K bike. Is that like, "it's not too dangerous, by crystal meth standards"? Don't be stupid. You can get in...

Re: This Week: 2017 Can-Am Spyder F3-S Daytona 500 - VOTE NOW

The dealership I work at has a sister dealership that carries these things, so on their last demo days, I took one of these things out for about 2.5 hours. It must have been a 2016 F3S. I can tell you all from first hand experience that they're exactly as terrible as you think. "Junk" is too kind a ...

Re: This Week: 2016 Harley-Davidson Roadster

Putting functional suspension on a Sportster was a good decision from HD. They're going after some of the 9T or Thruxton market and this is a respectable attempt for sure, but it will share the same problems that every Sportster has. The brakes leave a lot to be desired, it's about 150lbs heavier th...

Re: This Week: 2016 Honda Bulldog Concept - Vote Now

Uncool, and the only thing saving it from a fail vote is Hondas reputation. I guess I just don't see the point. This machine would be just fine on a well maintained dirt path or a fire road, but the tiny wheels and lack of ground clearance mean you probably wont get anywhere else, at least not witho...

Re: This Week: 2017 Suzuki SV650 - Vote Now

It's 2015. Why does this bike still use a chain drive?! What do you have against chain drive? Yeah they require a little basic maintenance but both alternatives (belt drive and shaft) are heavier, more complicated, and more expensive. Seriously! This is a lightweight naked sport bike. The 650 twin ...

Re: This Week: 2016 Zero DSR - Vote Now

I'm not done knocking this thing yet. Picture this. You ride your DSR to work and back every day, then on the weekend your friends call and say "Hey buddy, want to come ride with us?" Then because you spent $18k on a bike with no range you are forced to reply "Well I want to, but I can only come on ...

It's ok if you prefer nakeds without any creature comforts, but none of that is an argument supporting the DSR as a commuter. I'll change my vote from fail to uncool when Zero brings this machine to market for about $5-6k.

Re: This Week: 2016 Zero DSR - Vote Now

Ok. Even in the context of commuter bikes, it's still a flat out fail because it costs literally 4x as much as a purpose built commuter bike should. If it's a commuter bike, where are the heated grips? Where's the windscreen? Where are the luggage options? Besides, who only uses their bike for commu...

Re: This Week: 2016 Zero DSR - Vote Now

Fail. Electric motorcycles will not be competition for real motorcycles until we see highway ranges of 150+ miles and a recharge time of about 5 minutes, or however long it takes to fill a gas tank. The battery technology just isn't here yet. Also $16-18k? What the hell is up with that? I'm not goin...

I forgot to mention that. IMO the tank could be at least a full gallon larger without effecting the look of the bike in a meaningful way.

Fail. The "grown up" scout is already extremely forgiving and easy to ride. It's just a tiny bit weighty, but very predictable and well balanced. What's the point of making a beginner version of a beginner motorcycle?

I've been a little disappointed with Ducati the last few model years. What happened to the entry level stuff? First they phased out the smaller Monsters and the smalle...

Solid cool. Anyone who has put a lot of miles on an HD Rushmore bike can tell you they do a lot of things really well. They're a big improvement over the previous generation of big twin touring bikes. The CVO glide doesn't earn an awesome vote because there isn't really anything meaningfully differe...

This bike is everything that is wrong with the current sportbike market. Rather than buying a Ducati Diavel, why not just buy a dozen bottles each of sleeping pills and vodka, or some rat poison? Lots cheaper and no need to give the first responders nightmares after fire-hosing you of the road. Wha...
