Re: Need Advice on First Bike Purchase - 2008 Honda Nighthawk 250

Honda Nighthawk 250 is a great starter bike, price sounds a little steep to me though. Is that just the asking price or does that include dealer fees? At $2750 there's just a TON of options. My local classifieds has dozens of newish (2010 - 2015) Ninjas or CBs for sale in that price range. I'd hold ...

Pack Some Junk In Your Trunk - Sport Tail Bag by Viking Bags

Our most recent review is live on the main page! We spent a few weeks with the Sport Tail Bag by Viking Bags. We crammed some stuff in it, we turned our garden hose on it, we strapped it to three different bikes and we had a lot to say about each. Make sure to check it out and watch the YouTube vide...

Re: Helmet Fit Guidelines...

Just wondering if anyone had experience of using Bluetooth headphones and mic inside a motorcycle helmet? I'm not talking about the intercoms just regular earphones and mic? I want able to listen to google nav and potentially use a Bluetooth intercom app. I know this isn't going to be as good as a ...

Re: The Riding Game!

You meant five weeks right? 😉 This is the Ogden temple, you can just see the steeple and Moroni in the background. This is as close as you can get without paying for parking, and the cost is your soul. 🙂 Next challenge is a construction cone! Bonus points if you can get a construction worker to pose...

Re: To Ride an Iron Horse - Jack of the Green's Blog

Another Monday update! This is how busy our weekends have been. Pete: We have a little pop-up camper as well, we picked it up last year but so far haven't had a chance to use it. A previous owner replaced the roof with some heavier composite than the original, and the extra weight makes it incredibl...

Awesome work, very impressive. I can't imagine the amount of work that must go into teardowns of this level.

Re: To Ride an Iron Horse - Jack of the Green's Blog

The Saga of the Motorhome So let me recap this story, just so we're all on the same page. About a year and a half ago, Carrie and I picked up a Class C motorhome. We'd been wanting one for awhile, so we could travel in comfort to fun riding destinations with the bikes trailered, and then do the fun...

Wow! There's been an incredible amount of traffic on the forums this week! Currently sitting at 12,319 most guests online ever, which is the third or fourth time it's reset this week. Crazy! Glad to see you all here, don't be shy! Say hello. :) Updates. The plan to take Carrie's CTX to the shop fell...

Re: HD Breakout 103 v 114

If it were me, I'd take the 2017. The larger tank and aftermarket bits are very appealing, and when you say the price is about the same remember that the 2017 has done some of its depreciation already. And 2k miles is nothing, might as well be brand new. To me, that's more than enough to make up for...

It's almost time!
Let's kick off a new season of photo scavenger hunts with something easy!

Either your battery on it's tender, or your bike in the garage waiting for sunny weather!

And GO!

Re: HD Breakout 103 v 114

I haven't ridden either bike, but a couple basic questions to get the ball rolling. 😊 What condition is the 2017 in, how many miles on it, and what things were customized? And if they're critical components, were the custom bits installed by a reputable technician? I love some aftermarket done well,...

Re: To Ride an Iron Horse - Jack of the Green's Blog

Just a quick update! It's been a busy couple of weeks over in our neck of the woods, work and kids mostly. This is the first weekend in a while we've had some downtime. I'll be doing some more work in the basement, finishing the tile surround for our electric fireplace and maybe installing the showe...

Re: Only Experienced bikers need reply.

The largest group of riders I've ever ridden in was 4, and that was just for a local jaunt spanning less than 50 miles or so. I could run down a list of all the reasons we don't ride with large groups, starting with trust in their skills and ending with trust in their sobriety, but what it really bo...

Don't ride the Versys much anymore since getting the Connie though.

Re: Triple Nickel (Route 555 in S.E. Ohio)

I'm planning on attending AIM in Columbus in October, might rent a couple bikes while we're in town and ride 555 that way. Looks like some pretty excellent riding. Heck yeah, right on! Wasn't even aware of said convention, guess I should check it out seeing how it's in my neighborhood! Hopefully yo...
