Re: I Ride With Jesus
Welcome from Waldorf MD! Faith Rider, what a wonderful name! I ride with the Lord as well, and like American Express, I never leave home without Him! You'll have to post pictures of your bike because folks love to see what you ride and love to give compliments!

My first was an 09 V-Star 650 Silverado. I started riding at 52 after retiring from the US Air Force.

Re: Nighthawk cb 250 as a first bike?
Welcome to the forum. Are you taking the MSF course? I'm not sure how they do it in California but in Maryland it's a requirement to get your license and our MVA offers the course through our county community colleges. I strongly recommend you take the course and it will benefit you greatly. As for ...

Re: First Bike, all-in-one commuter.
I purchased the bike new and had it up to the first 4k checkup, and had that service done before I traded it. The 650 maintenance is easy, and easier if you have a garage. I don't so that made finding a good service shop a top priority for me. I have a great shop in my area that does all my work. If...

Re: First Bike, all-in-one commuter.
Jacob, My first bike was an 09 VStar 650 Silverado. I rode it for 3 years before upgrading to a 2012 VStar 950 Tourer last year. It might help to know some of your physical characteristics, how tall/heavy. I'm 5'9" and 250, my 650 got me around quite well, but my 950 is perfect for my riding st...

Re: All In the Family
Well, had my first ride with my daughter this weekend. What a joy! I've ridden with my SIL also, and now it's time to get the three of us on the road! I'm blessed to be able to share my motorcycle riding with my kids. Once my son gets married next year he wants to join our "club" too. :gro...

All In the Family
Well, I now have 2 new riders in my family! My daughter and my son-in-law just took the MSF class and both passed! My SIL took a cue from me and purchased his-n-hers sportsbikes [they didn't want cruisers - not their style, I understand] before they completed the class. Now all they have to do is go...

Re: Lottery stimulated Moto Fantasies
I would take advanced rider courses, buy a home in a warm weather climate that I could ride year round, travel the east and west coastlines on my bike, attend a motorcycle repair school, and open a motorcycle gear shop anywhere the market could use one. My dream garage would include my VStar 950 Tou...
