Re: Rockster Blog...

Still riding. Though not as much. At all. The Clearwater lights are AWESOME. The horn doesn't fit in the tiny spot the old horn was tucked into. Lucked into a very lightly used Russell Day Long custom saddle for the bike - someone bought a used R1200R and it came with it, but the "butt pocket&q...

Re: BEST MOTORCYCLE FOR LADIES IMHO

My observation says the best option available for women, as long as they don't hate Harley, is Softail Slim (with a 23.5 inch seat height) Touring models are great and will most probably not be lower enough for women height in general (except a few high-height women). Seat height isn't thie only co...

That will probably work for you, given your bigger stature. Make sure it's mechanically sound before spending any money. Or it could just become a money pit. A lot of shops are no longer working on bikes older than 10 years. So, if you aren't mechanically inclinded, keep that in mind.

Talk to your husband. Tell him you're upset. He may not even know that this happened.

Re: Helmet Fit Guidelines...

Impact mitigation is certainly important, but if a helmet is uncomfortable to be in during a ride, your ability to concentrate will decrease. I find that brand new helmets take several thousand miles to break in whereas used lids are comfortable right out of the box. When looking for a new lid, I l...

Does anyone moto-camp?

Just curious. It seems to be an adventure rider and BMW thing mostly. When I first started riding, our local BMW club had an annual early June rally at the not to distant YMCA camp. That's how we were introduced to motocamping. We camped as a family so it wasn't that far a stretch. But, since that w...

Re: 400cc too small?

So long as it runs and passes a basic safety inspection, SURE! Its your first bike, not your one and only bike. Little ones are perfect for syncing in the basic skills and they're a helluva hoot to ride!

Re: Rockster Blog...

Well. It's February. I've become a cold weather wimp. I'll ride in the 50's but not lower. Having had no other choice but to ride in all temps while we had 4 drivers and only 2 cars (while kids were in high school), I'll take the car if its cold. But come warm weather I'll be commuting by motorcycle...

Eastern US ladies... Mountain Moxie 2017 event

Howdy. I figured I'd share this here. I attended the event last year. It was awesome! Hosted at an inn that is steps off the Blue Ridege Parkway's mile post 335, the riding in the area is phenomenal. The Switzerland Inn is pretty cool too. There are still spaces open! http://www.motogirlcafemountain...
