Wow. Glad that event was less "eventful" than it could have been.

Re: New riding gear
That's why I haven't tried the mesh yet! It looks whimpy! I'm the "newbie" in my riding group, and none of my peers wears anything more than a leather vest and short sleeves when it's hot here. Granted, in the Puget Sound, we normally don't go through heat waves like this. But I ride with ...

Re: Road to the Sun
Oh my! Good to know! Maybe I'll consider my 4x4 just to see it this year. Sort of on my bucket list. Thanks for the info.

Road to the Sun
I'm thinking about taking off from the Puget Sound area the first part of September. I already have a week off work scheduled then. Anyone so this kind of trip (enjoyably) that time of year in 5 days? I've heard Glacier National Park gets snow early, but not sure how early.

Weather has been PERFECT, but since last Sunday I have to keep my leg elevated. Tore my calf muscle in a couple of spots. In a walking boot for at least 2weeks. My mind is younger than my body apparently. Running is truly for youngsters

Hey Doug! Looks like you have the same bike as my husband! I LOVE that color!
I hear ya on the dollars and cents. I don't think I'll ever be able to retire.
We've been talking about making a trip up your way. I still haven't bothered with my enhanced DL; I guess I'd better get busy!

Re: What did you do today...
Rode to church with hubby, then with three other friends up Chuckanut Drive... Twisty and scenic view of the sound. What a gorgeous day we had! Oh, and lost my footing in a gravel parking lot and dumped my bike over while trying to back it out and around. Hurt my pride, not the bike. Glad my pride's...

Re: Obligatory Pic thread (for bikes)
So... Anyone else have trouble (aka no success) uploading photos? Just getting an avatar up seemed more difficult than I could have imagined.
