Re: Total Motorcycle Bikers Cookbook

BBQ is hands down my favorite (to eat) :cowboy: I had whole pig bbq and it was the BEST meal I had in years!!! so juicy and tender......but sadly I must say being a lazy stoner the microwave is my favorite way to "cook" because it's easy.

Re: Most Important Gear??

The most important bit of gear? Your head, or rather the gooey gray matter in cased in your skull. You could have all the protective gear going and still render it useless if you are not using your head and are riding like an idiot or not paying attention to your environment aka situational awarene...

Re: Most Important Gear??

What's protecting your arms should you go down? What about your legs? How much skin are you prepared to lose? Dress for the crash, not for the ride. I don't know what a CE vest is but sort of assumed it was kind of a jacket. If it's not a jacket, then a jacket with elbow and shoulder protection is ...

Most Important Gear??

Ok besides a helmet (required by law for new bikers in the U.S.) :USA: . I was wondering would would be sufficient gear for riding. I don't plan on racing with my bike (It's a 99 Vulcan 500) I am mostly going to be using it for the occasional commute to show off, and go on a ride with Friends. I hav...

Re: Important tire question. Need advise

There is no "I think" to this issue....."DO NOT RIDE THAT BIKE AGAIN UNTIL YOU REPLACE THAT TIRE; IF YOU PUT ANY VALUE ON YOUR LIFE & THE LIVES OF THOSE AROUND YOU". You're playing Russian Roulette with 5 out of 6 chambers loaded!!!!!! I think that you need to check the front tire also. "ANY" dry r...

Important tire question. Need advise

So as I new rider I was hoping someone could shed light on this situation. Tire has new tubes but the tire itself has some dry rot :? However, I rode on it a few times no issues :littlebike4: here is a pic ( the dry rot is only on part of the tire) http://s17.postimg.org/ivswgj4cf/20151219_170805_re...

Re: Helmet Fit Guidelines...

This is an excellent and very well organized guide  I got my full face helm from rev-zilla. I sized up with a measurement tape and I fit between the sm and med. (closer to the med) So I got the medium. It is full faced DOT, and SNELL 2015 approved. brand new not no used junk :pinch: As far...

Welcome to TMW.

I've never used a battery tender....except for when I left an electric switch on the battery drained. My own fault.
I did the same on my car with the interior neon lights. I was panicked at first then I realized I got the battery tender 3 days before.

New rider from Rhode Island

Hi, I just joined the world of riding about 3 months ago. I started off with a 150cc scooter (was a POS BTW) And been hooked since. I got licensed and took the safety course at CCRI 2 months ago and got my first bike shortly thereafter. I am now the owner of a Vulcan 500 :kicking: (registered and in...
