The tips on fitness are right on point. The other question is: How well does the bike fit you? So starting with your 200 mile trips - what makes you so uncomfortable that you have to get off the bike? Fix that - bar backs, better seat, reposition the foot pegs, whatever it is. Then take another trip ...

LL sent me over with my manual, so here ya go.....

Every 10,000 km: Engine oil and filter. Check everything else - valve clearance and throttle body sync, brake pads, suspension and steering damper, clutch free play, cables. Adjust or replace any of those that need it.

Clifford (the RS) starts to really settle in at about 80. Anything below that and I have to drop a gear to accelerate. Now Muffin (the GS) has no wind protection, and starts to really beat me up above 65 mph.

Finally saying hi....

Hi all - Been watching here for a while, and I've decided to get a little more active. I've been riding for about 3 years, and I've just earned my Maryland State certification as a RiderCoach. Oh, and there's another rider in the family - our own Lion_Lady!
