Re: How many crashes in how many years?

Had a couple on dirt when I first started (12/13 years old ish). Since riding on the road, 3 actual accidents - pleased to say none of them my fault (1 car turning directly in front of me, 1 stopping immediately ahead in the snow and the last one was a police car that hit me from behind while undert...

Re: Hi Again...

Thankyou all,

Life has been good, different and VERY busy. Lots of changes over past year or so, very little time to spare. Not had bike on road for just over a year, but hoping to sort that out very soon. How is everyone on here?

Hi Again...

Figured it had been so long that a post in here seemed so appropriate... :) So um... Hi all again - nice to see there are still some familiar names around! Has been a rather interesting year or few since I was last on, lots of changes with work, home and self - real life getting in the way as it has...

Re: Your weight and bikes

I'm 6'2" and have a fair amount of kgs under my rather strained belt! The TDM is great for my height and size - about the only bike I've not felt ridiculous on. (even my beloved Vmax looked rather puny under me) It's definately a factor I consider but I've ridden everything from a 50cc to 1200c...

Re: Of all the bikes you have owned which one was your favor

oooh, tricky question!!!! Would be a close call between 1) My old '93 Vmax (now sold, and still upsets me she's gone) as I had wanted the 'Max since I was 12 years old, and it was every bit as good as I had hoped! and 2) My current bike - a 1993 850 TDM as it's the most comfortable and versatile bik...

Welcome to the boards! There's no doubt about it - shopping for a bike is one of the best bits! there are so many to choose from, have a read through the boards there's loads of info on here, but in the meantime if you like Cafe racer style, take a look at the Yamaha SRX400 - cracking little machine!

Re: Electrical problems again. Groan.

Hey Hud, long time no speak! So, could you have moved/damaged/nipped a different cable whilst doing the horn? Have you done any other work near anything that could cause this? Another idea is could something have been put back wrong? e.g have you got hearted grips on the bike, and when you've taken ...

Re: Newbie

Hi Pam, That being said, another thing that might help is is a "Clip-on" cruise control - I cant remember the company that make them, although it might be "bike it" or something..? it's a device that clips onto the throttle grip, meaning you dont have to squeeze it, and can cont...

Re: Mixing Tyres

As above - I would generally only buy pairs if I was replaceing both, but have have different Front/Rears many times with no problems. (In fact, the ones currently fitted to my TDM aren't even the same brand!)
