runsilent, thanks for the rundown of the different models. I thought it was a good bike before, but now i'm sold.
If it is as good as it sounds when I look at it I'll get it for sure.
Thanks for backing me up on the slightly sporty feel to it too.

Heh, no, I don't want a cruiser. I haven't actually rode a GS500E yet so I don't know how it'd be. I just sat on a GS500F at a dealership and noticed the pegs were a bit further back than those on the 250 Nighthawk I rode in the BRC, thats all. Also... What, besides the fairing, are the differences ...

Your Opinion On A GS500 I'm Looking At

Well, I'm going to look at a 2002 Suzuki GS500E this Friday. It only has 2050 miles on it and they are asking $2995 for it. They sound like they are pretty firm on the price so I probably can't get them to go lower but i'll give it a shot. KBB says $2510 for that bike in my area, but KBB also thinks...

Well, I recently became a vegetarian and I wear leather still. When I end up getting new stuff I won't go with leather though. I also don't get why people care that I am a vegetarian. I don't try to convert anybody, yet people still don't like that fact that I don't eat meat... Well, I suppose I can...

Thanks for the info Dragonhawk. I've read the stickys here and they said basically the same thing. IIRC, the 750 Nighthawk has 75 hp whereas the 400 Hawk has 43 hp. I'm gunna be out of town for the next week, but if that 78 Hawk is still for sale when I get back I'm definitely going to go check it o...

A quick question here. Lots of ads (like the one I linked to) say how many "original" miles there are. What exactly do they mean by saying "original" miles?

Thanks for the replies guys.

Alright, I am 18 years old, 5'8" tall, 145 lbs, and I have no idea what my inseam is. I have already taken and passed the MSF BRC and I have my motorcycle license. My perception... uh... I'm not exactly sure what you are asking here. I want bike with a standard riding position, and I will mainl...

Deciding on a first bike

Well, I'm looking to buy a bike and I've been kind of set on a CB750 Nighthawk. Lately I've been having doubts as to whether or not I'd be able to handle the power that the Nighthawk has to offer. I saw this advertisment the other day and it is very tempting. It's only two hours away from me too! ht...

Greetings From Eau Claire, Wisconsin

Hello everybody. I joined last year but I havn't posted much and I don't think I ever introduced myself so I'll do it now. I have an old minibike from the 70's that I used to ride around in the woods a lot. I decided I wanted a street bike in the fall of 04 when one of my friends got a bike. Since t...

When I made the poll, I was thinking Draggin Jeans would go under Armored Jeans as I associate Kevlar with armor.

What do I know though.
