Re: SV-Wolf's Bike Blog

Nice pictures. Looks like you are getting the right places at the right time for some interesting events. I liked Turkey a lot. Keep the reports coming. By the way I visited the Five Counties on Monday and had a real nice reception in fact the exact opposite to my experience a few years back at the ...

Re: SV-Wolf's Bike Blog

Hi Richard, Glad you are safe and making progress.
Pictures of Istanbul reminded me of my visit there.
Did you see any cyclists in Istanbul?
We didn't but there were massive cycle shops that were open 24/7.
We couldn't work it out.
Keep safe mate.

Hi, Richard, Sorry I wasn't around to say a late goodbye. Keith sends all his best wishes and his equivilent of bon voyage. Kathy and I are at ED and Sue's in Saint Antonin Noble Val. We are leaving Friday morning early to get to Calais for the 8pm ferry. Wouldn't it be strange if our paths crossed....

Re: SV-Wolf's Bike Blog

Attention to filter condition would be very important especially in dusty conditions so a cleanable filter would be a must.

My VFR VTEC sounds pretty good when all the valves are being used at high revs. It does have the standard exhaust.

Re: SV-Wolf's Bike Blog

Richard, Why not go one further like the blokes in Australia who prepare their meal and slow cook it on the engine. I bet they have had some nice stews and very tender meat from that method. As you would be riding solo there must be somewhere near the engine to cook a meal for one.

Re: Hi Viz . . . yay or nay?

Well, this is me, so I'm obviously a believer. http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z183/dino_ocampo/1456030_658625844169219_1311220930_n_zps858a1d36.jpg But like jstark and faded sun said, being situationally aware (and trying to predict how things will go) are way more important. Hi Viz only helps ...

Re: Discuss: Favorite motorcycle sound?

Blues, That was brilliant. Now you know what we mean about Harleys and tractors? I wonder how well a Harley would keep rhythm. On the subject of Harleys I still have this wonderful image in my mind of Cal Rayborn sweeping round the left hander onto the start/finish at Mallory Park in 1972 http://img...

Re: Discuss: Favorite motorcycle sound?

Ah just found this and even at my age this is more up my street https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y04Q0BSN4NY I just don't get the feet forward and the arms hanging in the air riding style. Mind...
