I like the bike, but I don't like the Softail design.

I like the Sportster and Dyna rear ends with visible shocks. And the Softail won't haul the load the other models will.

new tires, fluids, and you may end up needing new seals and gaskets as the old ones dried out and may leak. Keep an eye on them.

New tires at least every 5 years, as they get hard.

(Don't have that problem on my bikes. I end up wearing a set out every year.)
