I'll try, I told him I shouldn't wait too long before I get back on but he's very stubborn. As for all the comments about seeing a dr. I'm sor...

advice please
I could use some advice please. I wrecked my bike. I had a 05 vulcan. It's been 2 weeks today since my wreck. I don't remember going out on my bike. I don't think I was wearing a helmet. I pretty much don't remember that day. A witness says my bike flipped 3 times. The back end came up over the fron...

I have a 250 virago. It's not bad. It's got pretty good get up and go. It's hard to get into neutral. It's a lot of fun to ride. I also have a 750 virago and a 750 vulcan. I've gotten spoiled to my vulcan but the 250 is still a nice bike. I would recommend it as a new bike. My son rides it around th...

I think it will be fun. I'm a bit nervous about riding in conditions I've never ridden before. Like the crowds and the hills. I'm going with 2 friends and 1 is more experienced than I am and the other is very new at riding. It will be an adventure. Thanks for posting the link about the rally. I wish...

ROT
Is anyone going to the ROT? Or have you been before?
For those that haven't heard of it, it's a rally in Austin the first weekend in June. It sounds like a lot of fun.

Thanks Tech I just have one more little question. About chokes anyway. Does using the throttle to keep it revved up have the same effect? I like to use the throttle because I don't have to worry about messing up the spark plugs. The instructor of my msf class said it fouls out the spark plugs if you...

advice about a rally
I'd like some advice about a rally please. I'm planning to go to the ROT next month. It's the biggest rally in TX. I've only ridden in 2 group rides so far and they were little groups. This thing is going to be huge. And I've heard it's hilly and curvy there. I'm used to flat and straight. The thoug...

That must be rough. To both have arthritis. Does it make it hard to ride? I imagine it's harder for him than you. But having my arms up helps me sit up straighter so maybe it's easier for him. Have you thought about your future for riding? have you had it long? What do you take/do for it? I just got...

We never actually use the word trousers. We most often say pants but mens dress pants are slacks. We have shorts too. All I ever wear are scrubs or jeans, so I'll refer to my jeans as often as my pants. Not that I sit around talking about laundry that much. Say, I have a question on another subject....

I got stuck one time. I forgot to pull up next to the table and I just stopped. I was balanced with tip toes on both sides. I just knew, if I tried to get off I would drop the bike. So I stayed and yakked with the owner. He was probably thinking, why doesn't she get off and give me my bike. I finall...

I also started out in the dirt. I rode in the dirt for years before I finally learned how to drive a car. I love baby jumps and little hills and going as fast as I want. I think I'll have to stick to bikes I can reach the ground on. I'm way too old to jump on and off anymore. Last summer I rode my c...

If everyone goes the same speed, you're either stuck going slow or trying to go fast. Those are both opinions really-"fast" and "slow". I've been on 2 group rides so far. On the 1st one we had periodic stops at preplanned places. At first I was stuck behind some really slow riders. I was thinking it...

My boyfriend taught me to ride when I was 16. We rode on a street bike in a field. He gave me a brief lecture on what to do and not do then said go for it. I popped the clutch and did a wheelie for about 20 feet. I didn't panick and I stopped like I had done it a million times but I was ready to qui...

I've been planning to buy a full helmet. I'll be sure to get a tinted one. I was afraid I'd buy one and it would be too hot. I guess if I can make myself wear it sometimes it will be better than never. My half lid is very comfy and I'd wear it all the time if my husband weren't ragging me about it b...
