Re: I miss you guys
LMAO. A little 'stabby' alright. Those 2 years I spent in Thompson, there were 3 millwrights stabbed in that time. One died, the other 2 left after getting out of the hospital. All 3 got jabbed in the neck. Certain people would stand in the space between 2 buildings and wait for a target to walk by ...

Re: I miss you guys
Hey Pete and all I did end up moving to Thompson. Worked in the Nickle smelter at the mine. Good job (minus the dust, noxious gases, cyanide, arsenic, etc.) really nice money. But I hated that town. I hung in for 2 years, couldn't take living in that particular anal-orifice-of-the-world any more. So...

Re: Bike is running out of gas with a full tank
It almost sounds like the gascap vent is plugged. Once a certain amount of fuel has been sucked out by the engine, there is more vacuum in the tank than the fuel pump can over come. Opening the cap should allow you to hear air rushing in. Then it's good until it builds up vacuum again. If that isn't...

Re: Oil pressure prolems on my shadow
Sounds like you got a stuck ring, meaning the ring is stuck in it's piston groove and not sealing to the cylinder walls. This let's cylinder pressure past the rind, pressurizeing the crankcase and pushing oil out. The ring is likely stuck to the piston by gum/sludge/other goo and so not stuck very h...

Re: Where did you learn?
I learned by trail and error. Dad got tired of me asking him to fix my bike by the time I was 8-9. He cut me lose and told me to fix my own bike, but he did teach me tons by answering the billion questions I had every time I broke a bike. Since that probably isn't an option for you at this point, I'...

I'm stuck using a phone to access then net right now. This new feature is perfect for seeing what's new in the forums without wasting time waiting for pages with nothing new to load. Nice one, Mike.

From what I heard about China, they are built out of the rejected export toxic wallboards. The only thing they care about less than other countrie's people is their own people.

I don't claim to know much about the global economy, but I am positive I'd love to get my bike into one of those empty cities and just rip it up on those empty streets.

Re: Contact Lenses
Personally, noticed no real changes in my migraine patterns when switching from glasses to contacts. Maybe slightly less with the contacts due to less eye strain, but too close to call for sure. As for air conditioning, it doesn't bother my eyes, and I lived in a very dry environment until very rece...
