So if its clutch basket rattle, If I put it in gear and let the clutch grab a bit it should put a bit of tension on he basket and stop making the noise?

I have a 1993 CBR 900RR with 59,000 km on it and there is a ticking noise in the engine at idle. I believe its a bit louder than just the valves ticking and was thinking it might be the timing chain or the tension on the chain. As you increase throttle by about 700-1000 rpm, it goes away( It's hard ...
