I'm with you Loonette, I would have paid any price for my class too. Well not any but you guys know what I mean. I was very lucky too, when we moved to PA our classes are free and the one that I wanted was only 5 mins for the class room part from my house and 15 mins away for the driving part. And m...

I think most beginner courses provide you with a bike. The one here in York, PA also had some helmets. You had to have over the ankle boots, long sleeve shirt and gloves. The class I took they used mostly Suzuki GZ 250's. Since I'm short (5'2) and was just beginning, not to mention never been on a b...

I downloaded pictures. Hopefully you guys will be able to get to the site. http://www.kodakgallery.com/S...

I can see where it would be hard being a solo rider. If I was closer to the MD chapter I would head over there. But its a little far for me too.

That is great!!

I'm hoping I can make the rally next year. This year I was too new to feel comfortable riding up there. I should look to see if there is a Chapter her in York, PA or near it.

It is soo embarrassing to lay the bike down. The 3rd time I was on my bike I took it to the end of our road and went to turn around. I screwed up. Wasn't looking where I was suppose to be looking, cut back totally on the throttle (big no no) and the bike stalled and started tipping. I just layed it ...

I'm sorry to hear about your dad.

I was thinking the same as Dustyjacket. I would take the course, find an older used bike to learn on. Then next year start practicing on the bigger bike in a parking lot. When you feel comfortable with it. Sell the used bike as keep riding Dad's bike.

The sun does make it hard to tell color sometimes. I just bought a new scorpion helmet (exo-400 Warhawk)that's black with Red and silver/grey markings.. I've been debating on riding pants. It would be nice to be able to wear shorts under them. Rather then wearing Jeans and having to go find somewher...
