Re: To Ride an Iron Horse - Jack of the Green's Blog

We have been doing the camping with a mid 90s jayco pop up camper. It’s been a lot of fun.

Re: To Ride an Iron Horse - Jack of the Green's Blog

Sounds like a good time will be had. Enjoy Texas and hope your boy does well flying. Might want to consider some sea bands for him. I fly a couple times a month for work and when I started this (about 2 years ago) I found I got bad nausea from the bank turns near take off and landing and the sea ban...

Torc helmets

Anyone have any experience with this brand? Been seeing it listed a lot on my amazon feed. How do their modular helmets fit?

Re: 1988 vulcan

Regulator was replaced and seems to have fixed the issue. Took a 80 km round trip ride from the shop and had no issues (would have had issues on that length of ride previously.) so hopefully that’s it.

Re: NorthernPetes Bike Adventure

Well, got my bike back last week. Lol. So missed out on riding season pretty much. But it’s running. Bad voltage regulator seems to have been the issue.

Re: 1988 vulcan

I have no idea how long they ran it for, but it’s a small shop and I’ve been dealing with the owner and we’ve communicated that this is a problem that arises as it warms up. (Discovered the voltage drop after running prior to testing the stator so I’m going to say they’d run it long enough to get it...

Looking online it looks like brown/green could be turn signal related.

Re: 1988 vulcan

Two brand new batteries gacked out. One lead acid, one maintenance free. Shop contacted me today, said the charging system puts out proper voltage but after 5 minutes of running drops off to nothing. They’re going to test the stator next week. So they’ll test that, then possibly replace it, same wit...

Re: 1988 vulcan

I’m going by what the shop told me. And since they were doing it in the shop I’d assume at idle.

1988 vulcan

1500 Vulcan 1988, works fine until it heats up. About 15 minutes into a ride. Then I lose my lights, turn signals and then issues effect the engine. It stalls out and won’t start. Battery is dead. When cold the charging system puts out 14 volts. But I believe the charging system stops working as it ...

Re: Can I swap exhausts between different motorcycles?

Just out of curiosity, why do you need the stock exhaust for your Licence? Is it a noise thing? Emissions? If so, you can most likely get a slip on that would do what you need.

Re: Can I swap exhausts between different motorcycles?

Probably not able to switch between kawi and a Suzuki. But your bike has the same engine as any 500 ninja, and there should be a stock exhaust on eBay for one of those.
