side story: ..... simply amazing.... Once a met a very rugged nomad sort who showed me a very interesting tool he carries around with him. Basically, it's a fairly thick piece of pipe, smashed flat along most of it's length (yeah, you know it's coming) except for a small portion near the end used a...

Auxiliary Fuel Cell. About 10 - 16 litres worth. what's with the fuel cell ? it is my understanding that it produces electricity! Well, if you have an electric-drive kit on your bike, that's not a problem. :) That would probably go with the whole 'I'd like a fuel cell' thing anyways. As for 'litres...

This is the kind of thing that puts people in the cemetary. Cager, biker, or both. And that's regardless of whether anyone crashes.

Gives you something to think about as you are grinning ear to ear riding your motorcycle and laughing at the car drivers on a hot day. :D Mike. My car has air conditioning. My Joe Rocket jacket does not. Hmmmm....I guess I'll be hot this summer. Unfortunately there are idiots everywhere. Tragically...

Just found this web site and had a similar question. I've read that some people install a bracket that separates the saddlebag from the exhaust pipes. My 2003 Shadow has Cobra pipes that sit lower than the OEM pipes, but it looks like the bags might still touch. Do I need a bracket to separate the ...

You can always look on eBay. ;)

What'd you do to it?

(A Shadow 500 is a four stroke. As far as how you tell? Unless it's a fancy new two-stroke with direct injection, you'll have to add the oil directly to the fuel, I believe)

I'm not sure of anything other than the 'common' signals which I've known all my life.. Pat your head = Cop The others are the common signals, and are to be used, per Michigan law, if you're riding something without turn signals equipped. (Performed with left hand...) Elbow out, arm up = Right turn....

If you have the time, watch 'em do it. I always like to watch when I take my car into a service station. This has a couple good benefits: 1) You get to see first hand how they're working, and what they're working on. 2) You get to learn, at least visually, about the problem. 3) The mechanic is less ...

How big are you, dude?? 650 cruisers are typically for the more 'petit' biker population. There's not a lot of power there -- are you going to be satisfied with this bike? Hey now, I'm 6'6", 270lb, and I ride a 600! ;) Sure, I might look a little odd on it, but it's got adequate power (sure, it's n...

Well, techincally, none of that 'child molestation' ever really happened. 'Not guilty', remember? :P

Then again, how often does anyone take that 'known to the state of California' warning seriously? (He was tried in Cal, wasn't he?)

Just stay away from anything ( am I really saying this? ) with two wheels. Close your eyes when you see someone a scooter drive by your house. Wearing a patch is like wearing a target. If someone were to set out, without identifying themselves, to systematically (or not, really, I guess) 'end' the HA in the area, all they'd need to do is look for their patches. What happens to the Outlaws up in the colder climates anyways? Does the biker g...
