Re: Scoutmedic -- The trials and journies of a *n00b*

Good gear and a face shield and the lad won't mind a bit... I did say GOOD gear... Absolutely! Full face helmet, boots, jeans, jacket and gloves. Also the scala headsets in case he has any problems. The rain held off and he had a great time! This was his second time on the bike. Had him out for abo...

Re: Scoutmedic -- The trials and journies of a *n00b*

LOL... Thanks for the heads up!

My nephew may wish I had a roof on it tomorrow if this rain doesn't stop. I'm picking him up from his last day of school for this year in the morning.

Re: Scoutmedic -- The trials and journies of a *n00b*

The Road Sofa now has a headlamp modulator, drink holders, a hitch and a cooler/luggage rack attachment for the hitch. I also managed to debug a couple of electrical problems that were driving me crazy. Should be all set to pick my nephew up from his last day of school on Monday. Even though there's...

Very cool!

I added this link to The Helmet Butler website because it has pictures of it "in action" and I wasn't sure what it was;

Nice! My wife was thinking about one of those until her first ride on the Road Sofa. She's decided that being a pillion is just fine. lol

Wow, that's crazy. Like the one commenter said, "Be alert and treat every approaching vehicle as a killer." The only thing I would add to that would be; every approaching vehicle whether in front or behind you.

Re: TMW Stats Update - Jan - May 2012 - 11 million riders he

Awesome! I know I'm constantly recommending this place to everyone from people thinking about riding to experienced riders. I got great information from here when I was thinking about riding and haven't stopped visiting ever since!

Congrats Mike!

Re: NorthernPetes Bike Adventure

Awesome! I have some friends that have ridden it and they love it. I was supposed to go last weekend but, I've got too many other trips planned for this year and couldn't afford it since they were going for a week.

Re: Scoutmedic -- The trials and journies of a *n00b*

Well, it was a wonderful time riding this weekend in Northwest Pennsylvania. I put around 400 miles on traveling to Pittsburgh to participate in a benefit ride for the West Penn Burn Camp For Kids. The ride started at the MSA factory in Cranberry and ended near the North Hills section of Pittsburgh ...

Re: Order your Total Motorcycle TMW T-Shirts here

Any thoughts on doing T-Shirts again? I ordered three and only have one left. Wore them right out over the last few years! lol The good news is I'll be offering them very soon again, as soon as we have a place to live here in Houston, Texas (we just moved here and our stuff is coming down as soon a...

Congrats on finally being on the mend. Guess I don't need to tell you about my experience test riding the Spyder since yours sounds about the same! If I ever go to three wheels, it'll be on something like a Spyder rather than a traditional tryke.

Re: Sat nav for motorcycles?

If you're planning on using your phone and bluetooth, be aware that the headset will have to be A2DP which the majority of the Scala's aren't. Found this out the hard way with my Teamset Pro. Thinking that I'll just use the accessory plug on my Wing to hardwire the phone into my speakers. Just tryin...
