Aside from your fuel issue, how do you like your GS500f??
I'm gonna test ride one tomorrow.

Thanks for the responses. Current owner only put 365 miles on it. Never dropped. Sounds ok,. vibration at idle. normal. powerful brakes. Erik sure made his bikes solid. quick to turn. quick on initial start & quick to stop. Owner claims top spd of 95-100.. find hard to believe. Yes, asking too much ...

Buell

A used Buell Blast, sgl cyl 492cc (I believe). Have rode it and it seems spunkier than I thought it would be. 04 mdl. Wants 4K. I'll probably offer 10% off that figure. Good brakes, faster than I though a thumper would run. Faster than a buddies older suzuki 650. I didn't push it but you could feel ...

I'm brand new too. I've taken the MSF/BRC class.
I've looked at many bikes & have decided to go with used like many of the pro's on this forum suggest. It is a 2000 Kawasaki Vulcan 500cc. It seems to be in great shape. I'm buying it from a Kawa dealer. It has 8900 mi's on it. I decided on this bike ...

Nice going!! On Sundays I love to ride past the same DMV location where I took my MSF course. Just watching all the other newbies taking their test on the range brings back all the great feelings I had when I passed.

Enjoy your rides!!

Cheers,
Loonette

Thanks for your encouragement ...

Re: just passed MSF basic rider course

Just finished taking the msf brc course this fathers day weekend and I PASSED. I would recommend the msf brc course to anyone who wants to learn to ride that they take the msf brc first. i learned a lot.

congrats! Like somebody above said, it is just a license to learn!
I passed mine today.

I never took a "kickstart" program, but to me the MSF BRC was awesome! I just finished last week.

You'll have a great time and learn a lot!

Take some advice: if you bought new boots in anticipation of learning to ride, you'll probably be better off if you have a pair that you alread have broken ...
