When it gets really hot I switch to my mesh with the armour that works really well. I usually carry the liner in case it gets cool in the evening or I get caught in the rain.
Often wonder though just how effective the mesh with armour is, anyone know?

I like chaps, in fact, half the fun of riding is getting to wear all that leather

I know the feeling, there just seems to be that point of no return, and you're going down no matter what :( . I was sitting an talking on my bike, when I went to get off, I forgot I hadn't put the kickstand down. Minor scrape to my windshield (was my last bike) big dent in my ego, otherwise ok! :lau...

This ones got a few extras on it from the previous owner as well.

Now all I need is a dry day to do the test drive, I'm heading down with my neighbour as they've promised us a couple of bikes. Do you think a 5 hour test drive would be enough

Soon as we have a dry day, and I'm not working, I'll take it out for a test drive, I think it will be as great to drive as it looks.

Thanks for all the feedback!!!

03 Silver V-Rod

I wandered into my local HD Dealership yesterday, they've taken in a used 03 V-Rod and its too beautiful, Chrome and Brushed Aluminum, with a few extras the owner put on. They've told me to come in on the next dry day (been having monsoon rains around here) and take it for a test drive. It's in perf...

Actually I don't drive around fast etc., I love my bike for the way it handles, for the way it corners. I'm surrounded by mountains here, and it's the kind of riding we do. My husband has a Honda Shadow and is going to change, probably to a sport/tourer, it's just more suited to the kind of riding w...

Before I started to ride I thought I would like a nice Cruiser, but after learning and having the opportunity to ride a Sport Bike, I had a complete change of heart. There's nothing quite like a Sport Bike, it's just too much fun, though I would like a Sport/Tourer as a second bike for long trips!!!

I started with a 500 Buell Blast, I'm 5'6" so the height was great, I could put both feet flat on the ground. It's a great little single cylinder bike, had enough power to keep up with friends, but not enough to get me into trouble. I kept it a few months then traded it in (got back what I paid for ...

There is a super nice loop, from Spokane take Hwy. 2 west to Wilbir then 174 to Grand Coulee, then 155 through the Reserve to Omak then take the 97 to Tonasket, the Hwy 20 to Kettle Falls, then #95 or 25 back to Spokane. That whole area is beautiful! Try a trip over the line too, we have some pretty...

Thanks Buzz,

I checked my air filter it just has just a little oil but around the bottom rubber gasget, nothing on the filter itself.

I did 300 km yesterday, again on mountain roads but no discernable drop in oil level this time.

Being a Canadian who lives in a small community, I own no weapons (just a few bread knives) don't always lock my doors, and my bike stays safe with just a steering lock.

There are some driver's out here who think they can stay in the left lane because they're doing the speed limit, it's better in Europe, especially the UK, they only use the left lane to pass then get out of the way. Here they don't seem to grasp the meaning of slower vehicles stay to the right. :fru...
