New bike owner. I have a Sabre and Honda's owner manual recommended the following shifting guidelines:

1st to 2nd at 12 MPH
2nd to 3rd at 19 MPH
3rd to 4th at 25 MPH
4th to 5th at 30 or 31 MPH

Here is my dilema....

Looking to buy my first bike. I am torn between the 2005 Suzuki Boulevard S83 and the 2005 Honda Sabre 1100. I plan on using this to get to work and back, and maybe some infrequent longer trips, but a lot of around the town ...

In the midwestern climate do you think an air/oil cooled system would have issues overheating. The Boulevard S83 is air/oil cooled, I like the fact that the Sabre is liquid cooled, but not sure in this climate whether it would really make a difference.

I am looking to choose between these two bikes, and I am leaning towards the s83 for overall value and performance. Any feedback, suggestions, or thoughts?
