Have you checked the compression to verify that all the cylinders are able to generate power? On my 700 maxim if I loose just one cylinder the bike will hardly run on the other 3 cylinders. I'm having a problm with my Nighthawk - as it accelerates up to 4300-4600 RPM's it develops a loss of power or lugging. the only thing I'de be worried about is the discoloration of the paint on the rest of the bike. Whwn you remove your decals the paint under it will look new and the outline of where the decal used to be will be very visible.
