Hey, thanks Honda599 <that's a really cool bike you've got there.

That's a great page you've set up, also! I 'lived' out in Portland for 4 months with my sister several years ago, and I rode her BMW R75/5 around quite a bit (she's back in town now, Milw.WI). Those were the best areas I've traveled ...

Yeah, hopefully it will be a good deal. I have a few hours left in the auction to see what it comes down too. I just noticed there are some other good bikes (2003+ SV650S) being posted on eBay, damaged of course- the only ones I can offord right now...
Thanks for the luck and info-

Hi and Thanks! I'm just getting really antsy about all this- it's my nature, unfortunately. It will be the first bike I can call my own, and I’ve wanted to do that for the past 10 years or so (I’m 26). I’ve just read so many reviews of how fantastic the SV650(s) is, and right now, it’s a better ...

The seller just wrote back to me, saying he would deliver to me personally from Montreal to Milwaukee, WI (53208), for 350$. It would be a 2 100 mile round trip for me, with and estimated 150-180$ in gas, plus the toll, and toll$, of going through Chicago, customs, back through customs, and Chicago ...

Thanks for the reply. I was looking at that website previously, but now I think I found what I needed. So thanks for getting me back on track! Looks like I can bring the bike into the states for free, or 2.4% of the sale price. This should be interesting...

Need info on getting a bike through customs

Hello, I could really use some help... I'd like to buy a 2003 Suzy SV650S in Montreal, Canada. It should be a fun ride out there and trailer it back to WI, but I’m unsure of customs x-ing. Can anyone give information on purchasing a bike “here” (eBay), and going through customs with it? Do I declare ...

Thanks for the welcome, Wizzard- I know, there was a lot of questions, most are pretty specific, too. I'm just not getting anywhere online or over the phone with my DMV.
Thanks.

Howdy, Yall! Customs Crossings: Need Help!

Hi! This is an excellent group here. I came across it reading reviews on the home pages, which were very helpful. I’ve been riding my father’s (yes…) 1966 Ducati Mk3 around for a few years. But because I no longer have a garage to store it, back to the parents house it goes, and I’ve been seeking a ...
