you should be able to locate the oil drain plug fairly easily? It's usually a large 14mm screw near the gear shift, on the left side of the bike? There can't be that many big screws there?

How long can petrol last in a jerry can?

Hi,

yeah how long can gas keep in jerry can that'll be stored in a cool, dark area (garage). I'm not planning on using fuel stabilisers. Also, do octane levels matter? Will higher octane petrol last longer?

thanks!

Hi guys, I've solved the problem. Turns out the spring assembly at the end of the cable was caked in grease+dirt, resulting in the stiffness I encountered. The problem with the RX 135 is that the spring assembly's hidden behind the front sprocket's guard so I had to remove that in order to see what'...

[SOLVED] Can't engage the clutch - lever doesn't work

Hi, http://www.motorcyclesindia.com/gifs/yamaha-rx-135.jpg I've got an old beat-up RX 135 like the one in the photo. It's my run-around bike so I don't really take that good care of it. And I guess I'm paying the price for it now haha. The clutch lever's stuck. It's been stiff for the past few days ...

Feeler gauges - what should I look for in one?

Hi, I need a set of feeler gauges so that I can keep my valves in spec but I don't know what type to get. What should I look out for? I went on Ebay and did a search and I found all sorts - from simple key-chain types with a few blades to those with 32 blades. As I'll be mail-ordering them, and thus...

Disappearing engine oil - oil level has lowered in a month!

Hi, I've gotten about 800 miles of urban riding since my last oil change and the bike runs fine. However, I've noticed the engine's oil level has fallen considerably, from slightly above the high-level mark to just above the low-level mark. I don't think this is normal. Is anything wrong? I drained ...

Hi guys,

thanks for your replies!

I'll probably have the bar bent by a professional pipe bender. But I'll try to weld the risers on myself. Do you think that'll be possible with a SMAW (stick) welding machine? Will I be able to polish the joint?

thanks!

Bending your own handlebars

Hi, I'm thinking of installing a set of t-bars to my Virago 125 (a 250 with a smaller engine) but haven't been able to find any which fit. The risers + drag bar option's also rather pricey. So I was wondering if it would be possible to bend/weld my own bars? How hard would doing so be? I googled &qu...
