2 onroad in 40+ years and >650,000 miles.

Owned about 20 bikes, over the years. Can't really tell you which one is/was my favorite. I like my Triumph Tiger 800XC quite a bit though.

Depends on what the "showoff" is doing. Stunts on the public roads/highways? Not so much. AMA Pro roadracers that follow the laws while riding on the street are the smoooooothest riders out there. They haul buns around various tracks, six days a week, for 12 months a year. Year after year ...

Buying a bike with a dubious past (ie. salvage title) without a thorough inspection could be suicide. Get it checked out before you buy.
