Re: "Casual" Rider - yes or no?
I was at the beginning of a 5 hour ride last weekend on my 2010 Heritage Softail Classic and hit a stop light where I pulled up next to a guy and his wife (vs. a dude and his ol' lady) riding a HD Touring bike. I took a quick glance and noticed the guy wearing cargo shorts and flip flops and his pa...

..Lost a friend/rider today. I'm a newbie rider (3 months) but I've clocked over 2000 miles in those 3 months. I've ridden hills, twisties, city roads (normal speeds) and just recently- freeways (75-83 mph) -to keep up with a friend/ group. My friend likes to ride fast. He just returned to riding a...

Wow guys your fuel is sh.it Over here in the "motherland" we start at 91 moving on up to the extra extra premium of 98, also if they stick ethanol in a particular fuel it has to be identified as "containing ethanol" and its percentage. I would never knowingly put ethanol in my vehicles. ANyhoooo, my...

Re: Howdy and a few questions
I have looked at both the gs500 and sv650 but have been told by several different people that they would be too big (engine wise) for a newbie, is that true or not? Well Ive ridden both and own a GS500F (My wifes bike), normally I dont suggest 500's+ for noobs, but, in the case of the sv650 and gs5...

Re: So far, not so good
So I won a 2010 Road King Classic in a charity raffle, and decided I'd take a MSF class and learn how to ride. I completed the class over the weekend and did fairly well. I took the bike out to a school parking lot tonight and started to get a feel for it. Needless to say, I dropped the bike gently...
