I went in '04 with the AWD crew. WRX and EVOs. They closed it down for us to run. What a blast. I haven't taken my bike yet, but that'll happen sometime this spring.

I started on a V-Star 1100 silverado the week after my MSF. It was very tricky for the first 200 miles or so. I've now got about 1200 miles under my belt and things are way more comfortable. That is until a tornado blew my bike over Tuesday and caused crazy damage. Anyhow, I say it's decidedly do-ab...

Let's see. Thursday will mark 2 weeks with my new bike, and it has 650 miles right now, so its safe to say I'll hit 1500 miles this month. Since winter is almost non-existant here, I'd say hitting 15,000 miles in a year is about right.

Bought the VSTAR 1100 and love it. In 4 days I racked up 440 miles. (and I had to work all of those days, so the milage is after work). Although the bike is heavy, it's not unmanagable. Both my roommates can ride it just fine. One's 6'2" 170lbs, the other is 5'11" 150lbs. Of course it work...

On my VSTAR1100 I ride with my toe forward (under the toe shifter) so then it's either slide the foot back for the heel shift, or lift the toe for a toe shift. Works very well for me.

I just picked up a Kilimanjaro Air (Firstgear) what a great jacket. I rode last night at 37F and I was nice and toasty.

One way they taught us this one was to go ahead and give it a good ammount (e.g. like a lot), hold this throttle position and then begin to release the clutch slowly. If you're doing it slowly enough, then you'll not sprint off but ease off just as if you had rolled on the throttle. The clutch can w...
