Textiles

I find textiles have more features and have less of a cool factor attached. I am more willing to replace the padding in a text jacket instead of a whole leather jacket.

Maunal Transmission

Is there anybody out there whose first manual transmission motor vehicle was a motorcycle? I am having a lot of trouble getting the choke and throttle thing down. I took the MSF BRC, and the instructor told me that I should pretend that I am squeezing out a towel which is helping me out. This advice ...

How to empty the fuel lines?

So I have a 2002 Buell Blast, and its about to be transported across the country, but the company told me that I had to empty the fuel lines, so I am trying to figure out how to do that. The MOM only told me how to empty the oil , but not the fuel. Can anybody help? Thanks.

More efficiency

How do you make a bike more efficient? Is there any general techniques or is it very model dependent?

Thanks

Thanks for the informative article while I would like to think that I am wise and just accept advice from my more experienced brethen. I am glad that I had a thought-out answer to why I should not go beyond 500 cc. Now, I can just go and plan to get my first bike with this in mind. Thanks again.

THanks

THanks for the welcome. I am a little concerned with my selection of my first bike since I knew that I have gone to really like cycling because I eventually brought a good road bike, but I want to make my first motorcycle purchase a good one, so I know if I like it or not at get go.

Biker-to-be in Boston, MA

Hi, my name is Piko Neal. I am 22. I currently go to school up here in Boston. I recently saw an awesome picture of someone towing a bike rack on his motorcycle, and even since then I am considering that a motorcycle will become my first motorized vechile.
