That's kind of reassuring. Getting smushed between two cars is the next worst nightmare after a 60 mph highside on the freeway. That or getting decapitated by a road sign. The Hurt report indicates that only 4% of motorcycle accidents occur from behind. So that should help to allay some of your fear...

I try to stay focused on being aware of what idiot drivers are doing around me. I treat it like I do whenever I used to go running: assume that nobody can see you and act accordingly. ...and thinks that they are going to be rear ended or side swipped? I nearly freak myself out the other day thinking...
