I would get the Buell for the same reasons that I bought a 9s. It has hydralic lifters so you dont need to adjust the valves every 5000 mi, Its nimble and comfortable. Get a Buell, I own a XB9s so i guess im biased, but its still a great bike, very easy upkeep, never have to do valve adjustments, pretty much just change the engine and primary oil and filter.

If given only a choice between a twin and huge inline 4, id go with the twin anyday, 90% of riding is at speeds below 80mph so the touqe of a twin is more usable then top speed of a I4, and personaly believe makes for better riding. Engine Braking

I was taught from a very early age that you should engine brake when slowing down to a stop, or going downhill. The only time I dont is when im comming in hot into a corner to keep forward momentum.

Buy goggles, chapparral has some for between $20 and $30, and the straps come off of some so you can put regular temples on them so you wan wear some of them like sunglasses.

Your going to pay so much more for a kit bike that its not worth it. Its going to be almost as much as if you bought a ready built custom. stretch is how much longer the frame is in length

downtubes are the tube or tubes going from the neck of the bike under the motor and connecting with the backbone

backbone is the tube going from the neck over the motor and connecting with the downtubes

yes soft tail means that it has a suspention.
