First Ride

Well we picked up our new Yamaha V-Star 650 classic yesterday and got my first taste of the joy that is riding. Wow, I knew I was going to love riding, but I must say, that first solo ride on a new bike is sweet!

Pictures of the bike coming soon.

It is a really nice bike. One of the judges here just bought one and loves it. Of course he also has 3 other bikes to play around on.

Kawasaki Vulcan 900

Was at a local dealer last night and my eye kept going back towards the Vulcan 900.

Anyone have anything to say about Kawasaki's in general or ridden the new Vulcan?

Windshield question

Morning everyone. Just bought my first bike. Got a 2006 Yamaha V-Star 650 Classic.

Do you recommend adding a windshield right away or putting some miles on first and then getting the windshield?

Thanks

I couldn't agree more with going through the credit union. We just signed our loan papers yesterday for a Yamaha V Star 650 classic through them. The rate was 6.5% for three years. I've done both of our car loans through the credit union. I guess I prefer the way they don't treat us like just anothe...
