Please be very careful when you reassemble them. A friend of mine thought he was a great do it youselfer and ended up killing himself when the front end came apart while he was riding it.

Sorry, it's still fresh in my mind... :(

Spend less time thinking of what to do when you hit the ground and spend more time practicing how to get out of a sticky situation. If you do go down i'll happen faster than you can possibly prep...

Congrats on the bike, I also have a VTX1300R and love it. Sometimes backing it up into a space is a bit of a task, especially towards the end of the day. Never cut your bars too much, regardless of the size of the bike, it will end up on the floor. Make sure that you are wearing oil resistant boots,...

I'll park on the side walk next to the entrance of the store if it's a nice wide walk way where I'm not in anyones way. Otherwise I just park in a parknig spot, and never pull all the way up. As someone previously mentioned you're more visible this way.

Honking doesn't bother me, but once they invade my personal space and start tailgaiting, then it's a problem. Remember the one with the most lug nuts wins. A couple of options: a. Change lanes and let them pass if they are to dumb to figure it out for themselves. b. If you can't change lanes turn of...

Re: Neutral at Stoplights?

On a side note, today at a stoplight I couldn't seem to shift from neutral to 1st. I did the normal motion but it seemed stuck or something and took me several tries. Normally I just flick it with my toe, but I eventually tried using more force which didn't work either. Was the shifter jammed or so...
