Hm, thanks for the responses. Sounds rather nice then.

Unfortunately the problem now is going to be finding the cash, as the lease plan I had hoped for has gone by the way :frusty: due to the fact that I dont hold a Czech passport :( gotta find some other way out then.

Kawasaki Zephyr 550-750

Hi all,

I just turned 21 so I am elegible for un unlimited bike licence here in the Czech Rep. I am looking around for a bigger bike. I want something not to big, as i've never ridden above a 21hp 350cc bike.

I was really liking the lines of a Kawasaki Zephyr 550 I saw the other day. Anyone have ...

Two stroke can be more expensive to run, due to higher fuel consump. oil costs etc. BUT they are much much easier and often cheaper to repair. Ever tried replacing the piston rings on a 4 stroke half way through france? I did so with my 2 stroke, took half an hour by the roadside.

Then again 4 ...

"the man" does indeed ride a Jawa. Great little bike, but yes, they are a little odd.

Flynnrider is right, 2 stroke seizure, if caught in time is not as serious as 4 stroke seizure. My engine suffered no ill effects, but yes it will take a few thou off the life. Then again who cares, I will get a ...

Seized my 2 Stroke.

I suppose it had to happen with a 2 stroke, but its been a long time coming. Happened on the highway going 70mph. Luckily I heard the beginnings of the seize, so grabbed the clutch before it went solid. Was very pissed, as its a newly rebuilt and run in engine. Luckily no damage was done. Just to my ...

I just took my first passenger on this bike. My ex-girlfriend, interestingly the only passenger I ever took on my old bike, so she knew something before hand about riding.

Was a blast, and we had a great time, apart from the occasional bad wieght shifting she did quite well, apart from one heart ...

Sh*te, good to hear u got away with it!!
I had a similar occurence. I was on a highway that ends rather abruptly in a sharp righthand corner, to be fair its a max 100(km) zone from about 10km back, and then turns into a max 80, 60 and finaly 40 about 500m before the turn. Anyway some idiot who had ...

Its all been pretty much covered. Just remember that every move you make, however small you think it is, is likely to have some effect on the rider and the bike.

Defo keep feet on pegs till you've been told to get off

Keep a good hold of the rider, just dont squeeze to much. While you can use the ...

To finish off this part of the saga, and I truly hope its the last, I did some 'hot' testing of the reg/rec and its all fine.

What I did find however while testing literally everything with the multimeter, was that there was a voltage being measured between the positive battery pole and the plastic ...
