Bought my bike yesterday!!!

I just wanted to say THANKS to everyone here who took the time to share their wisdom with me about choice in bikes!

The overwhelming consensus was (despite my size...6'4" 230lbs), that I should keep it under a 1liter, 60HP bike....so that's what I did! I picked up a BEAUTIFUL Black 2003 Suzuki ...

Us big guys DON'T need BIG Engines!

I am right about your size, I am 6'4" and 230lbs. I have been doing a lot of looking and "talking" with different folks on different forums and despite what a few dissenters say...I came to the conclusion that folks OUR size do not need to get 1000+cc bikes because we are on the large size!

I just ...

Ok...passed the MSF class...now on to the FUN stuff!

This past weekend I finished up the MSF class...and boy, am I glad I took it. It was an excellent class and well worth the money. We had two people, a 20-something guy and a 50-something woman, who did not pass. They both dropped their bikes several times during the two days and couldn't control the ...

Sorry to hear about the divorce, but what's the point of staying married if you're not happy?

Oh...I'm not getting a divorce...she has grown weary of cleaning up drool every time a nice cruiser went by! And spent waaaay too much on earplugs to filter out my droning on about how much fun it would ...

Not even a Newbie .... yet! (Sacramento)

Well, it's taken 5 years of putting up with "bring home a motorcycle and the divorce papers will be on the kitchen table waiting for your signature," but I have finally gotten my wife to increase the life insurance and let me succumb to my mid-life crisis!

I am going to be 45 this year and have ...

is this guy nuts?

I was talking with a friend who is going to be getting a bike with her boyfriend. She has been riding for a while, he took the MSF course and rode his brother's bike TWICE...25 years ago.

He has his mind set on a Yamaha Stratoliner (1856 cc)!!! Is he nuts, or is there something magical about this ...

Re: Midlife Crisis Bike...

If you don't pass the class, don't feel bad. You just need a little more training. Take the class again, it's cheap.

Either the classes vary wildly on cost, or you have a very different idea of what is cheap for 15 hours of instruction. Here it is $224 for the class...to me, that's not exactly ...
