i can keep up with plenty of 600s gunning it from a red light. maybe not WOT but i definitely don't eat their dust or get more than a couple feet behind. some people on 600s can't even outaccelerate me..it's about how familiar you are with your bike, not how big your bike is. but then again..i am h...

i take my 05 ninja on a long ride every weekend. the first time i start it up every weekend i put on the choke for about 30 seconds or more while i put on my gear ..and throughout the day it starts up with a push of the button. so i think there may be something wrong with your bike :frusty:

hm...i wear earplugs to keep the wind and loud constant engine noise out...but in stop and go traffic i like to be highly aware of my surroundings, and there's no wind/constant engine whir that bothers me. so i usually save the ear plugs for freeway or long rides that dont involve stop and go traffi...

i usually always wear earplugs..yesterday i took a quick ride without them and boy was the wind bothering me. the wind noise was very distracting, not a peaceful ride at all. once u get earplugs you'll never go back!!

you want to make sure your gear fits TIGHT and SNUG. also remember that leather will eventually get looser the more you wear it, so if you think a size is too small, it probably isn't..as long as you can fit in it.

gear is expensive and eventually you'll want to upgrade and all :)

good luck!

haha sweet bags diez!! i just ordered some flush mount signals for my 250..the blinkers also come in clear or smoked amber but since my bike is blue/orange i figured the smoked amber goes well with the orange on the bike...clear would be too light i think. also i got the flush mounts partly out of l...

my backyard is reallly really small and getting in and out of it with tight u turns (with half of the backyard being grass) is very very annoying. once i dropped it and for the life of me could not pick it up! i even tried using that butt to seat method and i couldn't get a good grip from the side. ...
