I remember someone saying I could only buy one "type" of tire for my '78 CB400TII Hawk...but I don't remember WHAT they said.
Something about being able to run ONLY bias-ply? Or was it something different?
Need to know, looking for new tires...
Thanks!

Need help finding gear for a '78 Honda CB400TII
I'm looking for a windshield/windscreen as well as luggage for my '78 Honda CB400TII Hawk.
Nothing super fancy...just something to make short touring a bit easier with.
Anyone have any specific suggestions and/or locations to get the stuff at?
Thanks.
Andy

My first two bikes (both over 20 years old...'78 and an '80 Honda) cost me 400 bucks each, and I rode them both for 5 years without doing anything other than routine maintenance.

Looking for suggestions on a second motorcycle.
I rode all this summer on my 1978 Honda CB400TII Hawk. A great little motorcycle, good to commute to work on, but just doesn't get the job done on a cruise/open road ride. And, I'm ready for a new motorcycle!! I'm 35yo, 6'4" tall, 230#, and have completed the MSF course.

Does ANYONE make inexpensive ignition coils???
I need a new ignition coil for a 1978 Honda CB400TII Hawk. Mine still works, but when it gets hot it cuts out.
Cheapest I have found is around 100-125 bucks. I only paid 300 for the motorcycle...! Doesn't anyone make something less expensive???
Thanks!
Andy

Took a short ride today
I'm really loving my '78 CB400TII Hawk. That is onehelluva motorcycle. What a lot of fun for ridin' around town.
I added some "Seafoam" to help clean out the carbs/fuel system, and it made a big difference. She idles very smooth now, and is a little snappier in the git-up-n-go. Also threw some ...
