Re: LADIES - You know you are a REAL female rider if....

The only perfume you smell like is eau de exhuast. You have spent hours trying to untangle your hair after a long day of riding. You have had to pull over to pull up your low-rise jeans cause your crack was showing OR you know how to pull those jeans up while riding You have ripped out your earring...

If that was the case, the MSF course is even more important!

Congrats!

Re: Michigan UN-subsidizes the MSF course

 Just found out that the MSF courses in Michigan most of them were dropped because of Granholm cutting out the budget. Because of that courses are now $300 this year instead of $25 =[. I was hoping I might be able to get my wife into a class but not at $300. Are there other states where this ...

Just like everyone said, do all you can to assure your wife that you are taking precautions to keep yourself safe. Then ask your wife to tell her friends to mind their own business.

this isnt really answering your question, but a recommendation in regards to pausing. IN my neck of the woods ( burbs of Chicago) cops looks for every chance to pull over a biker, so though in a car, most cops would let a California stop slide, if i do that on my MC- its ticket city! so my suggesti...

You just need to learn to ignore those pesky little itches and they will go away. Of course if it's really annoying, by all means, pull over and take care of it if possible.

I especially hate the ones that are right on the top of my head!

Nope. Leave it in gear. If it's in neutral, putting the kickstand down won't kill the engine.

That being said, in my experience, on average, *insert extra disclaimers here*, chicks on sportbikes tend to be young and hot. Attractive women on cruisers are few and far between. Women on cruisers tend to be old, hairy, and overweight with skin like leather. There are always exceptions to this. :...

I agree - instructors can make or break a new student who needs to build confidence. One thing I understood though - passing the MSF course or the Rider's Edge course is NOT an endorsement to "hit the streets". It gives enough basic knowledge in order for a person to go "hit the parking lot and pra...

Hi Allan. I started riding last year at 42. I have a Suzuki Intruder 800 which I find is a great starter bike. If you can handle the weight, you could probably go with something bigger as well.

I recommend taking the MSF course!

My 6 yr. old son has been riding with dad for quite a while now. Hubby has an Ultra Classic so he's pretty snug in there. He can't reach the foot pegs yet so he puts his feet on the saddlebags.

Ahh, so you seek Polynesian Fusion. Yes Roy's is great. My wife particularly like the lemon drop and chocolate martinis. My favorite is the tuna. That would be far west Plano and yes there is much to discover there. Being from west Plano myself, you should try the frys at Cruisers. It is a restaura...
