Oh was I suppose to come here first?
Like alot of people, guess I just kind of jumped right in and started posting. I've been off a bike for almost 20 years. Laid one down pretty hard when I was 16, lost alot of skin, was never quite sure what I did wrong, just knew it hurt a whole hell of a lot. After some reading on here and elsewher...

Thanks everyone, maybe this will be my second bike. Bought a used GZ250 to learn on. Expect I will look like Shaq on it and will want to move up pretty quickly but looking forward to my time gaining some valuable experience on the GZ250. Signed up for the MSF class in about 3 weeks, plan on taking i...

Dual Sport for returning rider
Looking hard for a bike to return to the two wheel experience. Initially I thought I wanted a cruiser but after some reading and giving it some though have kind of come to the conclusion I might be better of with something more sport/standard to learn the ropes. Gearing up for commuting

As I still have the marks and memories from a road rash experience when I was 16, I want t...

Go ahead and take the MSF course... see if the Basic Rider II is available. It will really help smooth your return to riding. the 1400 is a big bike, but it's a cruiser so it doesn't have jackrabbit throttle or brake response of a sportbike, so you are less likely to end up wheelieing yourself off ...

Suzuki 1400 Intruder for Returning Rider?
Have not rode regular since I was 16 (21 years ago) and that was on a Honda CB350. Having a lot of trouble finding a decent beginner bike in the $3000 price range. Seems like everything is at least a couple thousand more or is less but I get the feeling I'll spend more time getting it worked on than...
